Crazy rummy

Crazy Rummy is a fundamental Rummy game with a new type deck. It contains a regular 52 card deck plus 2 jokers. Surprisingly, on lower half (or crazy half) of the card is a different rank card with different suit. For instance, the Ace of Spades shows the King of Hearts at the bottom and the 10 of Hearts shows the 4 of Clubs.

 

Each player is dealt with 10 cards and as in regular Rummy you can put down melds of runs or sequences. The melds can be from either side but the sides can not be mixed. When one player lays out, points are scored for the deadwood cards in the opponent’s hand. Aces count 1 point, face cards 10 points and all other cards face value. The game is played to 200.

 

Crazy rummy happens to be very crazy, and a lot of fun. There are more suggestions to play this game. First round, 2 players are dealt with 7 cards and they have to create 2 sets. Second round, the players are dealt with 8 cards and they have to form 2 runs. In the next round, they are dealt with 9 cards and have to build 1 run and 1 set or 2 sets in different suits and a run.

 

In the last round, they are dealt with 11 cards and 2 sets and 1 run, with no discard at the end. There are still so many variations.
