Mystery rummy

Mystery rummy is an interesting idea to a normal Rummy structure. It is a card game published by US Games. The number of players varies from 2 to 4. For 2 players 10 cards are dealt, for 3 players 9 cards and for 4 players 8 cards.

Players try to fabricate a case against different suspects for the popular Jack the Ripper serial murders, playing Victims, Suspects, Scenes, and Evidence-melds Any suit has the major cards played in it when a player leaves away is the guilty party, However, if all the Victim cards come out by the end of the game, the Ripper might run away, giving the player who made that card a significant point allowance.

The player’s turn is fixed by calling a secret vote. One card is drawn from the deck or discard pile. When the deck is drained, reshuffle the discard pile to make a new deck and again, if the deck exhausted, the Ripper has got away and the hand is over.

You can play any one of Victim, Scenes, Ripper Strikes, Commissioner Resigns, if there are no cards on the table. If there is any Victim card, you are permitted to play an Evidence Meld of three or more equal cards. If there is an Evidence Meld on the table, you are permitted to play cards of the same color (or Wild cards) separately, including Alibi. You can play as many Evidence cards as you like as long as you meet the above limitations. The score points are displayed in upper right corner.
