Rummy tournaments

A Rummy tournament is really a contest which holds a pre determined number of players. The winner is the outstanding player of all players. Each tournament will have a name, a date, a game room and entry fee which are pre defined and published in advance of agenda to permit the participants to get ready to the scheduled date.

 

If for instance, a tournament with 50 participating players is being held, the entry fee to the tournament is $5, the registration to the tournament is open before the tournament (for just enough time to allow the number of players the tournament can hold to register). The winning prizes are fixed by the rummy room and they are publicized with the tournament particulars.

 

When the tournament schedule comes, the players are allotted to particular number of table. For example – At the rate of 5 players each table for 10 tables will play. During the tournament players who will lose the number of points (chips). They will be removed from the tournament. The winners from every table will play subsequently in the ratio of 5 players per table.

 

This procedure repeats and lasts until we get to the final table, and this is the last table at the end of the tournament. The final table is a 5 player table when the winner is the one who eliminates all the other players and the last to stay. In many of tournaments, mostly the prize amount is awarded only to the first place winner.
